Margaret Fisher (1898-1990) was a modernist American painter from the 1920s through the 1980s.During her lifetime, her work was shown in solo as well as group exhibitions, at institutions including the Art Institute of Chicago, the Phillips Collection in Washington, D.C., Harvard University’s Fogg Museum, and the University of Houston. In a period when many women artists’ work was overlooked or undervalued, she persevered. Margaret's family has donated a selection of her art for the Night of Hope Silent Auction. The pieces are unnamed, so they will be identified by number.
